"In Defense of Our Neighbors" written by Mary Woodward and published by Fenwick Publishing has just been released. The Bookmonger section of the Kitsap Sun has just published a review. On Sunday Dec 7th from 2-4PM Mary will have a book signing at the Oregon Nikkei Legacy Center in Portland, Ore.
The April 2nd edition of the Bainbridge Review has an article on a new book about the courageous stand Walt and Milly Woodward took during World War II on behalf of of American citizens, in particular those of the Japanese American community of Bainbridge Island, WA. Written by their daughter Mary and titled "In Defense Of Our Neighbors", the book is scheduled to be published in the Fall of 2008, contingent upon raising another $20,000 to cover production costs.
