"In Defense of Our Neighbors" written by Mary Woodward and published by Fenwick Publishing has just been released. The Bookmonger section of the Kitsap Sun has just published a review. "In Defense Of Our Neighbors" is available at the BIJAC offices at 1298 Grow Ave NW or also at Eagle Harbor Books for $24.95.

Mary will discuss "In Defense Of Our Neighbors" at the Ballard branch of the Seattle Public Library on Mon Nov 10th at 6:30PM On Sunday Dec 7th from 2-4PM Mary will have a book signing at the Oregon Nikkei Legacy Center in Portland, Ore. The April 2nd edition of the Bainbridge Review has an article on a new book about the courageous stand Walt and Milly Woodward took during World War II on behalf of of American citizens, in particular those of the Japanese American community of Bainbridge Island, WA. Written by their daughter Mary and titled "In Defense Of Our Neighbors", the book is scheduled to be published in the Fall of 2008, contingent upon raising another $20,000 to cover production costs. If you would like to contribute to this worthy cause, send your check payable to the Bainbridge Island Japanese American Community (BIJAC) and on the check note the donation is to go toward the Woodward book.
