The April 2nd edition of the Bainbridge Review has an article on a new book about the courageous stand Walt and Milly Woodward took during World War II on behalf of of American citizens, in particular those of the Japanese American community of Bainbridge Island, WA. Written by their daughter Mary and titled "In Defense of Our Neighbors", the book is scheduled to be published in the Fall of 2008, contingent upon raising another $20,000 to cover production costs. If you would like to contribute to this worthy cause, send your check payable to the Bainbridge Island Japanese American Community (BIJAC) and on the check note the donation is to go toward the Woodward book.
